stanton M.203 dj mixer
ok the M.203 isn't a cheep 2 channel mixer but it sells for around $110. the knobs feel sturdy and stiff when you turn them. it has a nice alpha crossfader. all the faders on the M.203 feel good and are nice and smooth. good switches to. eq,s are acceptable with good separation. cut/mix switch for the crossfader so you can scratch with the M.203. cue/master meter switch so you can look at your channel levels or master level. it has a microphone and a fader start on both channels for cd decks.
the entire mixer is metal except the caps on the knobs and faders and the switch poles. the M.203 has a master and record out but no booth. each channel has a line input and a phono/line switchable input. I have never used the microphone. it does have the option to listen to the master channel in the headphones. ok so now using the mixer
matching the volume of either track is easy with its 10 segment cue lights. the change in volume when you use the gain doesn't really affect the volume that much per cue light so you can be accurate. the master volume is done well. it has a more gradual slope than the gain knobs. the headphones on the M.203 are so loud its retarded but they don't sound as good as the master out. the mixer has a very analog sound which is good for its price. if you wanna drop a bass line the eq's have it for you.
