There’s also an almost hermetic community that exists in many areas of dance music, where serious hobbyists feed off each other’s expertise but barely connect to the industry – despite many of those involved actually working in it.

on the controller i know what it does but i cant find the alternative on traktor

I don't know where to find a comprehensive explanation of everything. Mostly i scanned the traktor user manual appendix where the mapping commands are described. And i just mapped some commands to a few buttons and tried them on playing decks. If you don't get anywhre with a few commands you can ask for specific information about them here. I'm sure nobody is going to explain ALL of them at once.
For example: DAW view toggles the Stem-View on and off on the specified Deck. It works only if a Stem Audio File is loaded. Flux Mode lets you trigger Hot Cues and Hot Loops and jump back to where your track would have been without the trigger as soon as you release the trigger button.

Tempo Bend
Temporarily increases the playback speed in steps
Tempo Bend (stepless)
Temporarily increases the playback speed (gradually)
DAW View
Switch between seeing all 4 parts in a STEM track or a global view like you see regular tracks
Flux
It's what is called Slip on CDJs and other kit. This
will help you understand the concept better
