Scratch in Traktor Pro
I have traktor pro and a midi controller, and I was wondering if it is possible to scratch, or just create a scratch effect using the jog wheels on my controller. It's not like i'm using turntables so I shouldn't need the DVS plug-in of Traktor Scratch Pro right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need Traktor Scratch Pro to scratch on jog wheels.
The only issue you'll run into is assigning a button to turn the scratch function on for the jog wheels to scratch. If you don't have touch sensitive jogs (they send a message when you touch and release them, as well as scratch) you'll need to use a button to toggle scratching on and off.
You can also use the Turntable Effect, which you can route to your jog wheels, but also needs to be turned on and off. :)

mapping?
Thanks so much, the only issue i'm still having is figuring out what the scratch on/off function is named in the "controller manager" section of the preferences. I'm only seeing one called "jog scratch + tempo bend" but none saying scratch on/off etc. Can you help me a little more with the mapping part of this process?
Thanks again,
Mike

"transport -> scratch on" gets assigned to your toggle
"transport -> scratch" gets assigned to your jog wheel
