Streaming Video? (and other VJ Qs)

Hey guys, I know this is more of a VJing question but maybe someone has some clues to offer. I'm trying to figure out how to set up some kind of streaming video over internet or wifi so that I can link multiple monitors spread out around my house and play synced visuals. Is there any way to do it without spending a ton of money on hosting and streaming software?

Also do you guys have any suggestions about VJing communities? I'm looking for something along the vibe of DJTT, but for the visual side.

If any of you guys are into the VJing thing, where do you like to get your clips from and what software do you prefer (and why?).
