First set of turntables?

So I made an offer on a set of old vestax PDX-A2 MKII turntables, only $200 for the set with the m44-7's and before I go meet this guy tomorrow I wanted to see if anyone had any input on these decks...Someone said on a forum that they are good for scratching but bad for just mixing?, which is really all I do. Anyways here are some specs I was able to dig up
