firewire to usb adapters ??

Hi all!

i was just wondering whether there is such thing as a firewire to usb adapters out there? i recently just bought a kontrol x1 n using a macbook u all know that they only provide 2 usb ports. so i was wondering, since i dont use my firewire port is there such thing as a firewire to usb converter? a straight male firewire to a female usb converter. if u know wut i mean.. basically converts the firewire port to a usb port without wires. i googled n only came thru to

they don't exsist, at least as a simple adapter.

firewire and usb use different protocols so an adapter would need a translator between them.

you should get a usbhub, get a powered one if you doubt about energy consumption
