mackbook trackpad making noises?

mine was doing it and it was driving me crazy (like fingernails down a black board crazy), so i cracked her open - however i didn't remove the piece (yet).. i tightened the screws a little and put some tape on the inside of the bottom plate where that piece makes contact. so far no noise..

we'll wait and see if that's done the trick when it gets hot.
