Good preaching, but have any of you voluntarily ate at a all you can eat buffet? Its natural to consume more than what is needed, were consumers. We all have a metaphorical, little, greedy, Paris Hilton sitting on our shoulder telling us we need more.
No offense, but some people just don't have "it". That soul and know how that makes everything flow. So the fails occur and instead of blaming themselves. To save dignity, they blame other things. Which leads to numerious beat gridding and syncing threads and obviously more gear.
Oh sure, it's always fun getting new things, there's no denying that. I covered that in another blog article a couple months ago in fact if anyone want to search for it. I'm just mainly reminding people that the latest and greatest might not always be the greatest :)
Just for the record I have all my wooden instruments brought in on the backs of salt water dolphins. There's just no other way to get that oh so salty sound.
African dophins can carry more than European ones, worth trying if you ever get the chance.
