Firstly let me say that I am a serious nerd at heart. But every single summer "blockbuster" movie this year looks fucking awesome.

'Blockbusters' especially seem to be marketed at a homogenous market-analysed-to-death section of the populace that they end up as edgy as a blancmange. The studios put so much cash into them that they can't afford a flop and any potential for controversy needs to be removed off in case they mortally offend a vocal minority.

Which is why I'm not that arsed by giong to the cinema, especially when it costs a sodding fortune...
