Rotary Mod for DJM-400 faders??? Or any 2-channel scratch mixer?

Having seen the recent article on rotary mixers I was looking at custom built rotary mixers. I came accross a kit for the DJM-800, Pioneers 800VR kit. I was wondering if it would be easy to use the parts on my DJM-400? Similar boards, plugs etc, obviously I only need 2 line fader pots but if I can pick a kit up cheap could I create my own faceplate to accommodate these potentiometers?? Its a nice idea but does anyone know if its do-able? Perhaps how I'd approach such a project? I love my DJM-400:cool:, it would be even better with rotary line faders bith the big grippy knobs:).

not sure if its do-able but good luck scoring the rotary kit...
