Free production software for Mac?

What's up guys. Looking to get into some basic production and can't find any free software for the Mac to learn on. Any suggestions?

Just realized there is already an app on my Mac for this, Garage Band. I'm an idiot.

It's a really good app too, don't let the free part of it put you off.
