I'm doing a gig for an Australian day party in Canada. Knowing nothing about Australia day, is there any special, traditional, good Australian party tunes out there. Maybe some good remixes of your national anthem? Hook it up yo!

You'll have to play Men at Work - Land Down Under at some point.
And who let the dogs out, gets a good response.
if you brew it they will come... just have heaps of beer and a barbie, and forget about fosters it's rank and Aussies don't drink it.
don't forget to say "cheers mate" pronounced "chirs might" a lot

What sort of music do you have to play? There are plenty of recognisable aussie hip hop choons you could drop. There's the obvious dnb outfit pendulum as well.
There's loads of classic rock you could mash up - inxs, cold chisel, acdc, icehouse. You could probably find some remixes of these with some digging.
There's some recent rock too. I know eskimo joe has had some dance remixes done (I think)
then there are the classics. men at work was already mentioned. gangajang - sounds of then ("this is australia") etc. etc.
Comes down to what you can get away with I suppose.
play some drapht, pegz, art of war and lyrical commision... should have said before don't play "who let the dogs out" unless ya want tha aussies ta bash ya
Triple J Hottest 100.
