Not "vinyls".
Carry on.
Superb post, finally, I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!
I'm sure I sound petty but it drives me up the wall when people refer to 'vinyls', it's 'vinyl' - singular or plural, it makes no difference.
Aaaaaaannnnnnnnnnndddd relax... I feel better now.
This is one of my pet hates!!
I actually fell out with the head DJ at my residency (he is also one of my best mates) and i could class him as a veteran DJ spending all his time until 3 years ago on vinyl the other day due to him calling it vinyls!!
Good Call!
yes!
Kinda like calling every CD player a CDJ no matter which brand it's from (and I don't even use the damn things!).
Except the vinyl thing is a much, much, much more serious offence.
"Peoples" is a word, surely we can find a proper use for a term such as "vinyls"
all haughtiness aside, thank you for this post.
When you are describing different TYPES of vinyl (vinyl records, vinyl flooring, etc..) THEN you can you the word "vinyls".
BUT - when you are talking of my beloved wax - THEN you shall ONLY use "vinyl".
Different context though. When someone says "vinyls" they aren't referring to something belonging to the vinyl as in the context of "peoples".
But, yeah i know you were joking ;)

Sorry Karlos, but I'm gonna have to call you out.
In your context - the possessive- you've failed to include an apostrophe.
LmnLm3's nailed it. "peoples" is the plural of "people".
