The sources says it's not sure, but i've seen it related on several french websites so i guess we can assume it's true.

Hasn't he done already ;)?
So he's gonna write for pretty boy electro DJ's and let them do all the hard work touring the world and playing to massive crowds, while he goes home every night to his family.Quote:
The man decided to give up his decks to focus on his new label, JackBack Records, on which he wants to find and produce new talent to move the world.
DJ's are the new pop stars, boys n' girls, so why shouldn't there be manufacturd dj's?
Can't blame him - he's more than paid his dues. Like him or loath him - he's a hard working mother-fucker.
+1 and i think this has been more apparent these years with his productions. My point is that from making tracks like "love is gone" and every year having a couple of hits, he went to making about ~15 tracks collaborating with everyone on the scene. But now he went back with "sunrise" and all the other more housy and less poppy tracks, so if the news piece is true i can certainly see a sense to his choice.
Ummm....he already quit DJing a looooonnnggg time ago when he became a producer. That is why he dropped the "DJ" title.
So there is a god after all.
Posted from his Facebook an hour ago, guess it's not true :/

Don't be misled !! Of course i'm not retiring - the opposite! I just launched a new electronic label - Jackback - for DJs and clubbers but am still making music for everyone & DJ'ing is my life ...
