Audio 4 DJ Setup
I am looking into buying an Audio 4 DJ for my setup. Currently, I have a Denon MC3000, Traktor Scratch Pro and two stanton turntables. I would like to use timecode on the turntables through the Audio 4, but I am confused on how to set it up. Do I need an external mixer or could I just use the Denon? Would I use the audio interface of the Denon or of the Audio 4?
Thanks

It's not too hard. You would use the Audio 4 soundcard only. Hook your TT's into the input on the A4. Hook up your denon mixer to the outputs on the A4. You would configure your input/output deck settings in Traktor.

Don't forget, you would have to configure traktor to run in ext mixer mode. And your mixer would have to receive the audio from both channels from the audio 4 as it will be mixing between them.

How do you have Traktor Scratch Pro and no soundcard already?

In the OP, he has a Denon MC3000, which has a built in soundcard. I'm assuming that's what @ssatterthwaite has been using.

That wouldn't get him scratch pro though.

He doesn't own an audio 4.

Arrrr. This is sounding like piracy... Someone'll be walking the plank soon if they're not careful.
