Remapping Mixtrack - Where's "Scratch"?!

Hey everyone, I'm in the process of remapping my Mixtrack controller from scratch. Haven't modded it (yet), so I'm just working with adding physical controls of filters/key/hotcues/etc. and four deck support.

The one thing I can't find though is "Scratch" in the original mapping. Seek Position doesn't do the same thing; (doesn't output any audio, jogs around the same way if I set the sensitivity down though). Can anyone point me where this thing is?

I'm really afraid of it being outdated, since the Numark default mapping is apparently v1.2.0 (developer version), and I'm running the updated v2.6.0. Spent a lot of time on building the mapping already, I don't want to give it all up and rebuild on Numark's just because of Scratch :(

You're looking for 'jog turn' command. Set it to encoder-relative and you're good to go. Other tip would be to check other people mappings and see how they got it working in first place, it's the best way to learn new things.

Thank you for the welcome! Hum, I'm a bit confused though, the original mapping (and a couple I found on Traktor Bible) are using Jog Turn alongside Scratch. The original mapping has the scratch button on the controller basically toggle between Jog Turn and Scratch, I think at least.

edit: Never mind, that works PERFECTLY after I stuck Jog Touch On back in and turned off some modifiers. Jog Touch On always confused the heck out of me, think I get it now! It's kind of like Jog Turn is now designed to pitch bend normally and scratch when it the track is stopped a-la input from Jog Touch, the way I understand it? Anyways you just saved me a whole bunch of time, and freed up some modifiers that I was afraid would limit me later, thanks so much!

That is correct. Jog turn does both band and scratch regards to rotary sensitivity. This command appears with pro2. If you run out of modifiers you can add another generic mapping device to have additional 8 modifiers in same tsi file.

Hadn't thought about using a second Generic MIDI device to add extra functionality, I remember I tried to set up two mappings to work with each other sometime and realized that the modifiers for each "device" was independant. I'll have to give that a go sometime; the one I'm working on at the moment has so many functionality knotted together that I need to stay with the same modifier set. I honestly wish Traktor had a third Conditional field sometimes haha.

Quick question on modifiers, I don't want to just open up a new thread out of nowhere. Is there any way to get a modifier on a Button - Hold interaction to reset to a value other than 0? Kind of like having memory. For example, I having a bunch of functions depend on Modifier 2 being toggled between state 0 or 1 (1 is Shift), but I made a "release" switch that temporarily sets Modifier 2 to state 2. However, when I let go of that button it'll always come back to 0, which I'm myself finding confusing in practice when I expect all my functions to be in Shift mode.
I'm juggling two shift states, so I'm already using both of Traktor's condition fields, ugh. Need more variables :P

Or even fourth slot ;) Most of time I run in to this limitation and need to use another generic to create a support mapping device as workaround.

Yea, exactly like having a memory. Add M2=1 (hold type) > duplicate, invert, set to direct=2 and dedicate modifier condition of M2=1.

Tell me if that works as your original thought.

Weird, Traktor isn't giving me an Invert option on Modifiers, though it does on virtually everything else :S, so that isn't working as expected.

edit : Never mind, oddly enough it gives me that option when its on Inc or Dec, used Dec to get that working ^^. I just had an idea though, I can probably just setup my primary shift button to operate as a release button too (Hold and release to switch between 0 and 1, but while held, it switches over to 2 or 3, temporarily disabling the dependent functions...which wouldn't be possible because Direct doesn't have an invert function. Unless I want to juggle between 1/2, 0/4, changing around 40 or so 0s and 1s to 1s and 2s....ugh..)

You need to set interaction mote to 'inc' or 'dec' then check invert and change mode to direct.
