		Printers + Visuals
		Hello All,

I'm on the verge of starting my own club night. I'm hoping some folks on here can point me in the right direction in regards to dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

I live in West London, does anyone know of any good (i.e. one that won't rip me off) printers in the area to do my flyers and posters? If an online source is a viable option I'd consider that too.

Also, I'm wanting to have visuals on the night. As the venue has a few flatscreen TV's I can hook up. Can anyone recommend somewhere that does decent visuals? And before anyone says I have considered youtube. However there are too many videos with adverts these days. Also, we'll be on for over 4 hours. That would be a mighty long youtube playlist.

ANY help would be most appreciated. Thanks

I'd recommend something like a Raspberry Pi running XBMC as a cheap and dedicated video player, with your visual videos all stored on USB stick.

Re: printers - get the yellow pages out, ring 5 printers and get 5 quotes.

Pick the one that you like the best (not necessarily the cheapest!)

You'll get the best deals on printing from companies that specialise in the club market, doesn't really matter where they are in the UK.

Buy a copy of DJ Mag, and start with the ads in the back of that.

Basically, you only have 3 options for posters Amy way:

 Black ink on yellow
 Black ink on green
 Black ink on pink

Or push the boat out and go:

 Black ink on orange

Thanks guys. Got the flyers covered now.

Also, have found a bunch of decent visuals I want to use, from various sources.

Now I have no idea on how to get them in any sort of playlist. i.e all of them vary from a 10-60 second clip which I'll have to loop over. We'll be running for 4.5hrs. I want to do each clip for around 30 mins each. So I'll have 9 or 10 clips on loop for 30 mins each.

Is it possible to have this ready made onto a video playlist that will just play 1 clip on loop for 30 mins, then the next one will start and so forth? Ideally so I can save on a memory stick or DVD, so I don;t have to piss about on a laptop every half hour.

I realise I may seem a bit clueless, but its my first club night and I really need some help with this. The visuals are an important part of it.

Arena has a nice autopilot feature. It's no problem to do any of the things that you described. You can also control effects by MIDI, and do audio-reactive stuff.
