Replacing the USB port on NI Kontrol X1

Hello everyone at DJTT, I ran into the issue that everyone seems to have with NI controllers, my usb port on the controller is loose. I dealt for awhile but now its not supplying enough power to completely turn it on. I'm going to replace the port but I was curious if it is possible to install a new USB 3.0 type B port into it. It should supply more than enough power and it should stay secure but I'm unsure if the PCB for the old x1 can support a 3.0 port. I thought the new MKII supported 3.0 but i just checked and it doesnt. I LOVE my x1 but this power issue among NI controllers is quite disappointing.
