Best Surround Sound System

Hey guys,

Im saving up to get a surround sound for my studio room. I was looking at the Bose home theater system but it doesn`t seem like something a producer would use. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great, I have a budget of about 1200.

Assumming you Aren't producing in 5.1 for movies, you need a pair of Studio Monitors. Trying to produce on a home theatre system would be like climbing Everest in a t-shirt :D You only need/want stereo.

Popular Brands include: JBL, Adams, KRK, Yamaha and a sub if needed.

Ideally you will get a pair with a reasonably "Flat" response. which basically means, what you put in, is what you get out. So no frequencies will be enhanced.
