Features only matter if you use them

I'm right there with you, but I guess it all depends on what you want to do with your controller. Features are only useful if you use them. I have an S8, and I chose it because it has the robust stems controls. It's huge, and heavy (for most people), but it has the features I want, so I got it. The S5 is a great controller as well, but I believe Native Instruments made it for people who like (most of the features of) the S8, who won't be working with Stems.
