how integrate a sampler into the mix

Hi everybody,

so i have the korg electribe 2 sampler and want to utilize it in a modular dj setup.
I don't yet have the stuff, but planning to purchase it. I try to figure out, whether it would work in the way I hope.

... he plugged the electribe via USB into the laptop and into the S4. If I would want to do the same thing with a modular setup. To where would I have to plug the electribe 2 sampler? Into the Soundcard or directly into the mixer?

I am asking because that determines which external soundcard I would need... The question kind of is, whether the Sampler has to be plugged into the soundcard to go through the software, or whether I plug the sampler directly into the mixer on his own line.
