Traktor button on Native Instruments S8

Hi DJTT. The Traktor button on the S8 changes the mode of the channel from Traktor mode to Direct Thru mode. However the button is situated very close to the effects on/off buttons on each channel. If I accidentally press the Traktor button then there is a deafening silence as the track grinds to a halt. My question is can this button be programmed in some way so that, for example, I have to press shift+Traktor to change mode? Apologies if this is the wrong forum...
