Allen & Heath DB4 and K2

Hi All,

I recently bought a second hand K2 in addition to my DB4, hoping to connect it thru the xlink protocol and make use of the extra functionality that comes with that connection. So far i had no luck with this.

I updated te K2 to firmware 2.0 and d the db4 to 2.2.2 so both have the latest firmware as requested for this to work. Tried several cables on both the in and out port on the K2 but still nothing shows inside the db4 menu/xlink pairing. Anybody got a clue ?

ive just upgraded to the db4 from the 4d, and already got a pair of k2.
i had to update the firmware on both the k2 over usb (seperately) and also the db4 using one of my usb sticks.

one thing you may not have looked at, and i dont think its mentioned, the MIDI channels need to be unique for each the db4 and the k controllers.

the problem with my setup was that one of the utp pins in the db4 was bend so not making any contact, its all sorted now...

all good then!
