Finding the song to mix in,quickly?

Been going through different tracks via headphones alone to cue in. Feels a little slow. Is there an easy way to organize/label tracks so i know which tracks may work with certain tracks on the fly? I've heard of energy levels 1-10, but lets say i've got 2 songs of the same energy level but completely different genres.
Any ideas?
