midi stroke mac os 10.12

Hey everyone, hoping someone can help here.

Trying to use midistroke to translate midi notes from my xone k2 to keystrokes.

Never tried any kind of midi translation on mac before and was wondering if anyone has got midi stroke working on mac os 10.12?

I've selected the xone k2 as the source, i've added a trigger and set the number to 84(C7 if i've read the note number table right) on channel 15 and no matter what key I put in, it just doesn't respond. I'm sure this is the correct channel and number as when I map the button in ableton it shows me the channel and note(I then got the number from midi note number table).
