MFT not communicating with MF Utility

Hey all,

I just received a used MFT in the mail and plugged it in. The hardware seems to be working fine, but when I open MF Utility the software blinks between the default page and an error that says "No Midifighter Connected" (see the gif below). I tried swapping USB cables, but that didn't work. All other software is closed and I restarted the computer... same thing. I'm running Mac OSX Catalina on a 2020 Mac Mini. Any ideas?

Give this a shot. Also try unplugging any extra audio/MIDI devices while working with the MFU. Some Focusrite interfaces can cause problems with utility detection.
