Why do you need Maschine and that MPC? Isn't that redundant? I could see the 500 because it's battery powered, but not the full one.
Anyway…mine is evolving all the time, but here's the current list:
DJing (anything but hip hop):
- E&S DJR-400
- Custom built with line inputs on every channel and a cue/mix control for the headphones on the front panel.
- 3 CDJ-2000
- Elektron Octatrack
- Custom-moulded IEMs (leaning towards Shure)
Basically, it's what I'm using now except all hardware and with a really nice mixer. I'm worried about how annoying it would be to sync the Octatrack to the decks, but I'm sure that's a solvable problem. I'd also seriously consider something like an SSL XLogic G Series Bus Compressor to run b/t the Octatrack and the mixer, depending on how good its processing is, just because it'd be kinda cool and a whole other level of overkill. But, if I were doing that, I might as well get another one to run after the mixer as well and switch to a rack unit like the Alpha 4100 or A&H Xone:v6.
DJing (hip hop):
- Vestax PMC-05 Pro IV
- 2 SL-1210 M5G
- 2 Shure M-447 on Technics headshells
- Traktor Scratch Pro 2
- Traktor Audio 6
- Maschine (possibly Mikro)
- 13" Macbook Pro w/ Mercury SSD
The weird thing is that I'd use a computer for hip hop djing but not EDM. I'd want the feel of turntables and a battle mixer, but I don't want to pay for vinyl. The weirder thing is that I could probably do every set I've really enjoyed on just the 05proIV and an audio interface. Very well thought-out MIDI. I'd also prefer the Mikro over full Maschine for this one because it's smaller and because I don't need control that precise to occasionally play some hip hop beats and juggle a'capellas.
Guitar (not that anyone cares):
- my G&L Legacy with ToneStyler
- Gibson Les Paul (piano black, cream bindings, lollar humbuckers, ToneStylers)
- Gibson ES-335 (lollar humbuckers, ToneStylers)
- Martin Dreadnaught 14-fret cutaway
- Two Rock Custom Reverb Sig
- Keeley Katana
- Blackstone MOSFET Overdrive
- MXR Analog Delay
- vintage Jim Dunlop Wah
- Korg Pitchblack
Produciton/Recording (this is where it gets ridiculous):
- Top-end Mac Pro w/ Mercury SSD boot drive
- 2 24" Cinema Displays
- 2 2TB FW800 backup drives
- 2 3-disk ~500GB Thunderbolt RAID 5 enclosures with Mercury SSDs
- Pro Tools 9 HD Accel
- NI Komplete
- NI Maschine
- All expanstions
- 2 SSL Alpha Channel
- 1 SSL VHD Pre
- SSL Alpha-Link MADI AX
- SSL Delta-Link MADI HD
- 2 SSL XLogic G-Series Stereo Bus Compressor
- Neve 8816
- Neve 8804
- SSL Nucleus
- Waves Studio Classics
- Waves Tape Tubes & Transistors
- Waves JJP
- Melodyne Pro
- Electrix Warp Factory
- 2 Blue Babybottle
- 2 Shure Beta 57A
- 2 AKG 141
- 2 Royer R-121
- 2 Shure SM7B
- Access Virus TI2 Desktop
- Dave Smith Propeht '08 Desktop
- vintage TB-303
- M-Audio Axiom Pro 61
- A really nice desk
- A tuned, soundproof room
- Genelec 2.1 DSP nearfield system
- Yamaha HS80M + HS10M nearfield system
- B&W 800-series main monitors
- Presonus Central Station Plus
- Apogee Duet 2 (for mobile use)
- 13" Macbook Pro (for mobile use)
- M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 (for mobile use)
- Maschine Mikro (for mobile use)
This could have me doing basically everything I'd need/want to do, including recording automation in PT with a good control surface and doing final mixdowns completely on analog gear with one of the best compressors ever made. Most of what's listed is thought out somewhat extensively, though the Mics are mostly just things that I've had some experience with and kind of liked. There are probably better choices. And I'm not sure that the Presonus is actually transparent enough for what I'd want it to do…it's just that the Neve mini-console can't run 3 sets of speakers.

I'm pretty happy with my set up but would like to change my mixer and probably add an X1 next year. :)
I'd settle for 3. Really, though, if it doesn't have a USB slot, I'd settle for 2…but only if it had its own time code records to control the internal playback.
Single-deck SSL/TSP built into a turntable with a USB key…maybe some basic midi like the vestax controller one. Yeah…win. That'd be sweet.
Oh…and a Maschine.
