I mean it's really messed up if we think about it. Other than these people who live in fantasy land, we all understand the quality of the mixes over the course of a night is not the same. We accept that the early birds will not get the same quality. Imagine that in a restaurant, guests who come before 8 will have less tasty food a little undercooked. In a restaurant the chef makes the final check of the food going out.
Ideally the future of sync will have a governor mode and only kick in when your mix is off. Imagine a computer giving you a score on your beat matching after your performance.
