Personally I don't really care either way, I'll still be buying them if/when they come out, and I'll still be recommending them to others assuming they're as good in real life as they look on paper.

All I'm saying is, if _I_ was personally involved in any of this, I'd be looking to set the record straight through official channels (Facebook, Behringer website, press release, etc etc) about what the current situation actually IS with the CMD series, and set up some sort of communication channel with the general public specific to the CMD line with a high level of transparency, so that people don't lose interest if it IS going to be a while before they show up in stores.

If you don't care about something why make a big fuss about it?

No, you wouldn't. That's how we got into this mess. It's the mistake I made.

You would do what other companies do, and what we will do on any new DJ products gong forward. You'll wait until you're in manufacturing before you let anyone know anything about it. At that point, the only variable is logistics.

The problem with your idea is it's not realistic, because no matter how much information you provide people will always make assumptions. And there will ALWAYS be haters. I chose this forum to be my direct line of communication with the public, and look how that's worked out. The reason I wanted to share CMD development with you, and the reason I've made myself available on this forum, is because 6 years ago I was where you are right now. And I said the things you are saying right now.

I couldn't agree with nem0nic more! If you guys don't like it, put the work in, become project manager of a cutting edge dj line and call the shots however you want. Until that happens I refer you to Howard Stern's Dad "SHUT UP SIT DOWN!!!"

You can email me and tell me of upcoming products as i don't seem to have a problem with any forms of early announcements.. ;)

Once again, Behringer publicly stated that the CMD controllers were shipping "now" on January 25th. We're not speculating here, and no matter how much you tell us we don't know what we're talking about, we are correct in a lot of it. It's really difficult to not to be seen as personally attacking you here, but we're not. We are attacking you professionally, because, regardless of how things are working behind the scenes, and regardless of who's fault the technical failure has been, like MCdesign is saying, on this forum you have acted with absolute incompetence professionally. As a Project Manager myself, whether this was my fault or not, I'd have already quit by now in shame, to try to preserve my professional reputation.

Not once in this entire thread have I seen you admit fault in absolutely anything, be it the PR failure, or the product line itself. Someone caught you on an issue with one of the controllers and explained it, and what sounded to be a simple solution for it, more technically than I even understood, and the argument went on for like twenty pages, even after you'd admitted that it was an issue, and that you just couldn't afford to fix it. Even through all that you didn't admit any kind of fault, and insisted that you designed it that way on purpose, and that the issue just wouldn't come up very often.

All you would have needed to do this whole time is take responsibility, and keep lines of communication transparent, and promise to do better.... But you took the "nobody but me has any idea what's going on" "you don't know how difficult this is" "we just need this much time to make these controllers perfect" route, and now you have a PR nightmare. You honestly would have been better off not saying anything to the public until they were released.

I don't want to speak for what Mcdesign "wants" but what I want is some responsibility. I am not claiming Behringer or you "owe" anyone anything, but the right move for Behringer here, and especially you, professionally, would be to admit fault, and start making claims about doing better in the future.

I'll say it one more time, as a Project Manager myself, I have absolutely no idea how you still have your job. Even ignoring the failure of the product, (which, as the project manager, is your fault, both directly and indirectly) the PR failure you've caused should be professionally humiliating.
