spsss keep on forgetting that. See what happens when new people thoroughly go through all the possibilities associated with dj setups
its me to cause i havnt felt like i have been able to try out all these possibilities to figure out what makes since to me and what doesn't. I wish there was a way to test this stuff out in real life
Put it on the fridge or somewhere ;)
Go to a Guitar Center and put your hands on some stuff! Where are you located? Find some folks on this forum who live close by and set up a meeting to check out their gear! Get any cheap all i one controller and learn on it!
This isn't going to be your first and only gear. This is why I keep telling you to buy just an X1!
I started with an APC40, didn't like it. Tried out external mixing, really loved it, but it was too expensive to get a full rig. Then I went to a Denon MC3000 all in one which has been quite wonderful. I would however like to eventually go back to external mixing.
You can buy plenty of gear down the road! There's no need to spend all 800 dollars now.
How hard is it to beatmatch two songs together without johwheels?
depends on how good you are. :) It is harder. If you want to learn to beatmatch (which you should, if you want to be a dj) you are better off with jog wheels.
Yeah, 700 posts! This thread really got my post count up! :D
I'll remember this thread for sure.
Another question. How much room is there usually for all in one set ups at gigs? Is it something to consider?
I know modular set ups generally consume less space.
