Maybe do a written review? Failing that you could pass the unit on to someone else to do a review for you!! ;) Im hoping to be as impressed with it as I am with the others Ive seen in the line up so far.
Im not a huge fan of jogwheels (I currently use a midi fighter) but for some reason I feel like something is missing when I dont have them. Its also nice for when I have a house party. I have mates who are traditionalists and they can't get their heads around mixing with just a midifighter and a mixer.
Nah, it'll be video. I can't write for toffee. The issue is more that I don't think I can fairly talk about a platter unit unit I've actually spent some time using the platter :P
I'm all about the rekkids!
First of all i wish to thank @nem0nic for the answers given in the CMD webinar. There where very clear and it is now easyer for me to give any feedback to "Cultura de Dj" readers.
I've been reading the last posts and i feel that there are users more interested in have a "speedy gonzales" style of a production and don't care about the units being the best they could be... for me is more important to have the units released when they are 100% ready other than have a legion of users that are giving bad reputation about the quality of the components, built issues and more. I think in this case Craig was always willing to answer the users questions and it's kind of annoying to see some almost showing something against the brand or Craig itself... i think this threat was productive except for the ones that didn't bring nothing but "trouble"...
For me as a publisher in a Digital Djing Blog, i think brands should release products as they are ready and not when they are in a premature release phase. What i saw here was Craig trying to do the best to give us answers and no intent to give false statements. As he sayd "behringer" is a company with schedulles and Craig is not the owner or the one in charge of production. The company is huge and there any many product to produce so the CMD even being an important step for the company isn't the only product being released now...
For me, i'll wait for an opportunity to test the units and review it for our website.
We are already "working" on the CMD line and the reviews should be the "next step".
Craig thanks in advance for the effort to give us solutions in the Dj Modular Controller universe with a fair price.
Waiting for your e-mail.
Best wishes
LUIS ALVES
Here here!
It's a shame the way the community has reacted to these delays. A company has been relatively open with us during the development process and we've punished them for it. I doubt Behringer will do the same with whatever they make next.
Unfortunatelly this was not a great experience. Other brands just get together some "top" users from the foruns and in private ask their oppinion. Here Behringer tryed to give the whole comunity a chance to feedback the products and that went not so well. Like we say in portuguese "Preso por ter cão e por não ter" (Arrested for having a dog and for not having a dog), this means that if Craig says something he is "attacked" for what he said and if Craig stays mute he is "attacked" for not saying a thing...
This is trully sad!
Maybe the next time Behringer won't be so oppen and users will criticize it for that...
Another saying in portuguese "Por uns pagam os outros" (Because of some, all the others pays)...
@MrPopinjay - Great Review! Cheers!
Thank you :)
I think behringer had to announce the production of the CMD line to get a barometer of how many they should make and how much they should invest, as competing on the controller market at the current level is new for them. It is probably the online communities fault they were initially delayed as the changes seem directly related to the feedback received. So anyone who made a suggestion or expressed dissatisfaction at the decisions made by nem0nic and behringer would have pushed back the release date, but it probably means that behringer have sunk a whole lot more cash into the project and will make more units so everyone gets them right from the release.
In the end everyone will get what they want and in a couple of months you will forget all about the wait. But at this point my money is on the release being delayed further as deckadance 2 is still in beta.
Yo nemonic. I don't give a hoot about any bundled software. Can you hook me up an mm1 hardware only? needed asap. thanks in advance. ;p
it's really 8 knobs and 8 buttons.
