It would be great if you can use your mobile device to download a track, analyze it in Rekordbox, and use it in a set moments later. iOS users would be limited to iTunes Store, but Android users can use a variety of download sources I'm told.
That way you can still take requests and not have to worry about having a laptop nearby.
My current set up is cdj 1000s mk3, xone 22, efx 500.
The only effects i use are the filters on the xone and the delay, echo on the efx. I have access to both the filter and the echo on the aero with the added bonus of the echo being quantized.
I record my mixes using audacity on my laptop and this would be eliminated as you can record straight to the usb drive.
For my next buy i was thinking of used cdj2000s mainly for the quantized loop feature but i would need to spend at least another £900 on top of the price i would get for my 1000s. I can buy the aero new for the price i will get for the 1000s!
Thats a really good point actually. Best thing is you can pick up a cheap android tablet for like 200 like the nexus 7, and just make it a hub for music for the Aero. Nice big screen and ability to buy tracks if need be.Quote:

Why bother with the stand, I think you can use the tablet interface to directly load tracks which IMHO is the beauty of it, much nicer than scrolling with a knob to browse your collection.Quote:

That video was pretty heavy.
I mean, people hate on pioneer cause they made some bad sounding, but popular mixers many moons ago ago (djm 600 etc) and because they charge a premium for their gear.
But this is genuine inovation right here from a company that truly tries to understand, as well as shape what djs want and need.

Can't load AIFF and WAV files on the iOS app, a bit of FAIL from Pioneer right there.
Is it because of the non-tagging ability of WAV files, as you can Tag in AIFF but maybe Pioneer have not coded it in yet.
Can CDJ2000 work with taggable AIFF files??
