Have you set all you ab controls to have the modifier of 0?

not all, but the one i just ran test on ( eq low nob ) was set to m=0 and the duplicate was set to m2=1.
HOWEVER - thank you for your comment midinoob as I just had a breakthrough
1st - i was an idiot and neglected to make the deck assignment to dec c.
once i flipped that i was controlling both a and c eq nob after pushing my shift button. since i already had a mod 1 on i now understand that I need to tell the system what to do in both cases of mod 1 and mod 2 ( just for the buttons I have already re-layered with my original shift buttons )
i totally get it now.. thank you all for your time spent.
I want to see red color (0-1) when button isn't active. And when button gets active I want to see orange color (0-127). Is there any way to do this ? My English isn't great so if you didn't understand I made a picture with paint. Maybe you will understand my question from this picture.

Look under MIDI range. The min value is for color when inactive and max is vice versa.
Actually I did... Which controller do you use?
Do you have multicolor LED on this button you're tweaking?
According to the information here, I think yes.
I didn't test it so can't tell for sure. As I said before, try typing in different values in min/max MIDI range slots and see it for yourself.
Something tells me they aren't.
That's what I thought when I started to research this device, but then after a couple of YouTube videos and forums at least I thought it might have red and orange colors.
Add in > Deck Common > Move > Mode Selector / type-button / interaction-direct / value - loop out
Add in > Deck Common > Move > Size Selector / type-button / interaction-direct / value - loop
Add in > Deck Common > Move > Move / type-encoder / interaction-relative
Command for 2fx/4fx toggle doesn't exist, you can set it only from preferences.
thanx , you where spot on, figured it out appreciated
hi guys, looking for some help if possible, I'm using a launchpad and trying to map Gater effect to 3 buttons with 3 different knob rates.
So I got the basics mapped to the 3 buttons: fx button HOLD, Knobs set as buttons DIRECT to the corresponding values I want.
My problem is that although the 3 buttons all work, I can't roll up and down through the buttons because if I let go of the first button while holding the second button, the effect is still switched off.
I assume this is because the 1st button is still sending a midi-off signal.
Any help would be appreciated.
I think this can be done with creative usage of modifiers.
Is there any specific reason why you don't want to keep other buttons holding while performing this combination?
It's more to do with rolling up then back down through the knob range. If i hold button 1 at 10%, then i can press button 2 at 50% and it works fine. The issue is if I want to go back to button 1 i have to let go of one of the buttons at which point the effect stops working. This is no good for fx like beatmasher because the sample point changes if i turn off the button even for a split second.
I've made two buttons that act as you have described but adding third button in this loop requires a shit load of modifiers and maybe it's impossible to achieve... Will give a few more attempts to make this work but it doesn't promise much of success really.
No problem, I like this idea too and will look into it. I'll share tsi here if I get any results.
here r tutorials but idk if its what you want it to do but it might help

i tried it but i think it can't be done with just one modifier, you'll need two or just a fourth button to turn on the effect much easier in my opinion.
At a point i thought i succeeded but unfortunately the effect didn't turned off if you just pressed 1 or two buttons
good luck!
Thanks for the help guys, i did consider adding a fourth button to turn on effect, and then using the current 3 just to set values but in my workflow it doesent quite feel right.
It just means i can only roll up through the values or down not both. I'll probably just live with that, thanks again.

Here are all the parameters I've used in vid if you are interested to map it for your controllers:

hey djtt
i have a question. im tryin to map effects on a hecules 4mx. i want to map 4 buttons to turn mixer efects on 1-4 and also act as modifiers so i can use my eqs to control parameters of each effect bank 1-4.i will use 4 toggle modifiers but how can i map the same on deck b without it being conflicting or using more modifiers
thanks for the quick reply
what do you mean? can it not be done with 1 controller im new to mapping and im totally stuck, if i map the 4 toggle modifiers to the same buttons as mixer effect buttons 1-4 on deck a when i do the same on deck b when i press the buttons it turns mixer effects on when modifier state= 0 ? is there a way to configure the modifier to work properly
Here's a how to video I did on this a while back.

Yes. You can add multiple devices and map it all to just one controller. It's the only way to add another eight modifiers to tsi.
Not sure what you're trying here...Quote:

Nice! My buddy sent me your video and asked me to help him map it to his Axiom 25 and since I don't have one I made this video wit full range of key adjustment for a thread in general discussion where I've looked for help on achieving this - no luck thought.
Just shared it here as well if somebody find it useful. Now with your 'how to' it's all in loop ;)
Stewe I have a TSI of just the key parameters by themselves (no other mapping commands) mapped to my Oxygen 49, your friend would still have to hit learn and change all the CC's to his Axiom though. I think I have a small video on how to do this with the TSI, as I did this for someone on YouTube who couldn't figure it out. Hit me up if you want them.
il try to explain because maybe you know an easier way of mapping what i want.
so i have 8 buttons i would like to map,4 on deck a and 4 on deck b,i want each 4 buttons to act as the 4 buttons for effects on each channel in traktors mixer. i also want when i press any of those buttons to be a toggle modifier to allow me to controll the effects parameters in the effect bank corresponding to the button pressed with my eq knobs. i hope this makes sense to you.
Make more sense now. You are looking for four bank modifier mapping: http://forum.djtechtools.com/showthread.php?t=55271
After you map each of four values to unit on buttons make sure to follow modifier values for each unit and add it in modifier condition slots for corresponding FX unit.
thanks man il have a look now:)
