I think i figured it out for now. I got a beats audio computer. It likes to miss with the audio stuff itself
NI devices automatically become the default system device when plugged in.
My lappy has beats audio, too, shouldn't cause you problems. Plug in that soundcard and it'll over-ride that crap (like Jester said). And shut down ableton! Get one program working properly with your current gear before you try to add more. It's like math class at school, you can't learn calculus until you've got algebra down.
Do you have any sort of external speakers, or at least headphones?
