I just really don't want him to make a stupid decision about gear he might enjoy over a flaw that doesn't actually matter. :(
I think with how a lot of DJs crank the mixer a trap door like that might be handy :P

is clearly this is a stupid error of Novation not introduce a power suply,, but lookin better this is not a error, this is the strategy to low de coasts, sell the equipament like Top quality using HYPED and MARKETING the product, but now the reality is camin, again... i guarantee this will be a total FIASCO product....
I have a Twitch. I also have an Audio 8, and Audio 2 and a Rane SL-2. First things first, yes, the sound card output is quieter than most. However, the other day I was spinning back to back with a good friend of mine at my place, I was using SSL with the SL-2 and he was using the twitch plugged into a 3rd channel of my DJM-800.
The output of the Twitch can easily be raised beyond 0dB and into the reds (not that this is a good idea of course) by means of the gain knob, and when raised to 0 and played at very high volume through both my pairs of studio monitors (AE22s and KRK RP5 G2s) there was absolutely no problem with noise.
I'm not saying this isn't an issue, but it certainly isnt a fiasco. Plugging straight into my KRKs using TRS cables gave me an adequate listening volume but nothing more, and I guess part of the target market for this controller is mobile DJs who might not have access to a mixer at certain venues, and this could be a problem for them.
Overall, chill out Disco420, it's a bit annoying but the world hasn't ended just yet.
Thanks fullenglish, some first hand experience helps a lot here. :)

For paying the high price of this equipament will be avaliable in Brasil, and with of these facts you said above, i guarantee this will be a fiasco here and a lot of countrys had this equiapment will be very high price
With these 2 facts that you say above, becames this equiapment definitly not a pro solution, and Novation/Serato sell this product like a pro solution, but had a lot of people makin a lot of noise about that, and in a fes mounths you will se much more discussion about that as this equiapment will be avaliabe world wide, and this will BLOW the Novation/Serato mind, and will be appologies and correct the error, you will see...
But it will work exactly the same in Brazil, why will it make a difference there when it does not in the UK?
Sigh. This thread has turned ridiculous.
Because here and a lot of 3rd wolrd countrys, the taxis are a very highest and dont compensate buy a gear pro with this problems with highest prices you know ?
But there is no effect on the performance. You're turning the gain up while with the S4 would would turn it down.
