for me, not being able to use my saved hot starts or cue points from RB on the Aero is a big fail, I will not be purchasing, oh well, will wait till they incorporate the wireless control into a CDJ2000 type unit

yes, for me as a Traktor/S4 user who's moving onto Pioneer gear soonish, this is the main drawback for me. Just wondering, this unit can work as a midi controller with Traktor. I've never used an X1 before, but does anyone know if they'd work together and be able to manipulate the cue points/traktor fx etc, or should I just save for 2000's (or whatever new high end decks they may be about to also bring out) ?
Also if the Aero is used with Traktor, would the sound be coming only from my laptop (so would I need an extra soundcard) or does it get routed through the Aero. I've not been able to find that info yet so if anyone knows that'd be handy.
the magic of usb is you would have the controller's soundcard connected to the computer... The unit only communicates HID/midi over usb, wifi is reserved for record box from what I have read from poineers press releases. Hopefully they make wireless HID/midi with a future update as that is where the real benefit would for professionals wanting to have the power of a laptop to run their show.
There are four buttons that could be available that are the fx buttons though i don't know if they will add the use of hot cues/loops to the aero.Quote:
there are no hardware buttons on the Aero so i'm not sure what can be 'fixed'...
What i haven't seen yet on the vids are the waveforms shown on the phones when the track is loaded. Surely when a track is being played you can view the waveform?
thanks! eh its all sorted now, unfortunately i tried to fix a lot of the tracks and the ones that i fixed are slightly off TO THE RIGHT (opposite of before). Daaaang!
anyway there are 1/2/3/4 buttons underneath the fx buttons, i read somewhere that hotcues would be available after a firmware upgrade, i forgot where i read it tho
I sure hope so I can't go away from hotcues now after using Traktor as main DJ source for a long time. I also think samples in the way they are included now is pointless. When I first saw the device I thought the 4 samples would be trigered by the 1234 buttons, so you could play them on top of a song in same deck. would be way more usefull to me if say you press the sample select button and the 1234 buttons become hotcue button. I realy hope this will be posible in a firmeware update.
