Im trying this new setup out

MacBook Pro Unibody, Traktor Pro, Maschine, Audio 8, VCI-100 SE, Kontrol x1.

How it works?

Traktor + VCI-100 + Kontrol x1 = For Djing

Maschine running standalone playing custom beats

Traktor send midi clock to Maschine

Audio 8 -
Output 1/2 for DJ Output 3/4 for Maschine
Output 7/8 DJ/Maschine for Monitor (headphones)

You can run the audio out of one sound card for Traktor & Maschine. You just need the outputs


Oh, I forgot to mention that Im running the VCI/X1/Maschine thru a non powered hub. I was like WTF too! Im using the 4 port Macally hub (found here)

we just updated out setup a few months ago. we've been mixing using ableton but are now in the process of transitioning to Traktor =D. picked up the mixer on ebay for 1300--work perfectly! threw in some pictures of our new business card lol. excuse the mess--i took these when we had just got back from opening for Franki Chan!

I added a Kontrol X1 to my set-up and love it.

Also purchased my first ever DJ speakers!

You bastard... Thats a sweet deal. I have been looking for a four channel midi mixer to use in my hybrid setup and there is an APC40 available at a good price too. Very tempted.

hey guys. Here's my modest but practical setup

Gateway NV53 laptop (2.1 ghz, 4gb ram)
1TB external hard drive
Traktor Scratch Pro
Behringer Xenyx mixer with USB interface
Stanton SCS.3 system

I love the xenyx mixer because it lets me have additionnal inputs and has its own effects board some of which are pretty cool. The SCS.3 is great because it lets me control the 4 decks in traktor.

In the near future i'll be getting a Midi fighter the make my setup slightly more versatile (ill use it mostly for effects and cue points). i also need a laptop stand badly! Last couple gigs killed my back from leaning over the stare at the laptop

eventually maybe a couple turntables...

you need a higher table mate!

My setup:
2X Reloop RMP1 CDJs
1X Reloop IQ2 Mixer (Great mixer!)
Reloop RHP10 headphones
Audio 4 Soundcard
Running Traktor Scratch Pro
Getting a midi fighter in there too with this weeks pay check :)

I think the mixer acts as a soundcard as well so you can assign it in traktor and directly route the channels into the mixer and use it like an external mixer
