Hi my names Tom Mortimer
I'm originally from Canterbury, Kent by now residing in South East London.
I play a mixture of house, electro, fidget and occasionally dubstep and drum and bass.
Started DJing in 1999 on a set of Soundlab DLP1200, moving onto DLP1s (?), then numarks, through to Technics, then CDJ 800s, after that CD1000s. I recently sold my Technics and bought Traktor and havent looked back. Absolutely love this site - its been a great help.

i borrowed a nocturn from a friend bought me a nanopad from korg and iam still waiting on my vci100 thats still at the customs from germany .. :D .. my ordered audio2dj is stuck in the xmas terror since 2 weeks .. so iam working one veeery simple setup xD
no prelistening .. caused bei ac97 fuuuuu onboard sound shiti card ^^
just one fader on the nocturn ^^
some knobs on the nocturn an some nice buttons one the nanopad :D
and a big portion of madness

The main reason I am posting here is im putting together a book on traktor mapping for dummys. So im looking for crazy ideas to get the most out of our controlers. I will be publishing the book on my website when it is finished. It will be free to download. Its looking good so far just looking ideas to expand what we can do with controlers. The only limit is our imagination:):):)

3. this is a tricky question. let`s say I love electronic music, hip hop, etc. but I really feel the need of doing something with chilean music. there`s a lot of dope music, but dj`s here.. I don`t know, they feel afraid of stepping up I guess and go against what everybody is DICTATING.
now that I finished college (audio technologies) I`m getting my dj career going.
send my 1200`s and my old vestax 06 to get fixed, waiting for a couple of m447`s to arrive, and getting focus on developing something new and fresh.
well what more can I say ? oh I`m studying the best options on dvs systems... being a vinyl collector for many years, but after I watched everything you can do with digital systems, I was blown away.
I think that`s it, this site is cool and this forum looks insane.
