The F1 remix deck functions communicate with Traktor in HID mode. To be able to do some of your own mappings you need to activate MIDI mode on your controller (http://www.native-instruments.com/fo...ion-be-careful).

Hi Guys!
It's been a while since I came here and also since I touched my mapping for my ZOMO MC-1000
I promised to post but never ended it...so I started back with fresh ideas and hopefully this time will post it (even if there's not many user of this controller)

Stewe helped me a lot a few months ago but I'm still facing a problem
It's with the FX sTORE preset function

I will simplify it
DECK A with 2 FX UNITS (1 & 3)
FX1 is an independant unit with it's 4 knobs and 4 buttons + an fx selector (rotary encoder)
FX3 is reserved for instant press effect and toggled fx (like echo freeze)

On FX3 if I use echo freeze I use the FX store preset when turning it on and again when turning it off so no problem here
the problem is with the instant press fx like beatmasher (used as a roll) and ramp delay
When I press I need the FX store preset function (otherwise I need to press it twice)

Here comes the problem (whenever I scroll the FX on unit1 ...I hit beatmasher or ramp delayand they are ON since I stored them that way)

Is there a walk around or something I'm missing?????????????????? (+what it's happening with FX STORE preset, button trigger with INVERT selected)

Hey JT,

Go ahead and map Button On / type=button / interaction=direct / value=0 so each time you turn the encoder to scroll trough effect list each previously stored effect will automatically go off since that encoder will constantly send FX=off command.

The recall of the preset is probably happening after the unit on turn to 0

I'm trying to make my own personalized MF3D mapping. FX Unit 4 is in single mode, for the "dubfire - ramp delay" by Stewe. My problem is, i want the same FX-Unit for an echo-freeze, toggle mode. When i activate a ramp-delay button and keep it pressed, then toggling the echo freeze, the buttons are not toggled the way i want: FX-unit sets to off, while the freeze button is set to on, and vice versa. Doing the same while using the echo freeze as hold, it works perfectly. But i want to toggle it.

Sounds like missing Store Preset command mate. You have it mapped to effect ON button?

okay, i looked at the mapping; added store preset to every button, each of the four ramp delays and to the one echo freeze - it still doesn't switch correctly when i press the echo freeze while holding a ramp delay - when i do, it turns of the effect unit and turns on the freeze button (button 2). when i try to retoggle the echo freeze it turns on the unit but off the button :/

this doesn't happen when i release a ramp delay button and then press the echo freeze - but when i'm being too quick the same as above happens. I'm know my way around mapping - kinda, but i quickly get lost xD may i need a few modifiers to do what i want?

Map direct M=0 to all four Ramp buttons. Assign M1=0 for Ramp On commands. Map direct M1=1 to your freeze button. Keep Store Preset.

Hi, great work with your mappings, do you know how I could set a brake function to work in traktor pro 2 ? I am using a numark 4trak controller. Traktor pro 2 version 2.1.2. I know there is a "brake" effect in the FX but that dose'nt really work in real time mixing. Thanks any help would be great.

There are few ways to your mapping and that was the simplest possible solution. The ramp modifier passes the signal to your echo button only while ramp is pressed. Then we set another modifier this time in toggle mode in next step to prevent ramp to go off when you release the ramp buttons after the freeze is active.

I just spent a couple of hours, making a 4-button selector for Traktor, using only two modifiers, and requiring only one condition. Which I needed for selecting decks to apply instant-gratification FX to, in a mapping where the a condition is already taken up by a modifier for layers, and I didn't want to waste too many modifiers.

It works a bit like this:

i just bought a new xi mk2 and im having trouble mapping it. i was trying to map meter leds and it wont learn any of the buttons i press. i also tried to map a mixer knob just to see if it would map it and nothing. no matter what i tried it would not learn any of my commands. the default map works just fine. i just cant remap anything. can anyone help?

Hey! Just got myself an X1 after using Xone 1Ds.
Im trying to edit the original mapping that came with it, but having a little difficulty.
I want the effects to turn on when I turn the appropriate encoder, instead of pressing the button next to it. To do this I'm selecting add in/button 1/learn/'turns encoder 1'. Unfortunately it says 'inappropriate control'.
Is there a way around this without remapping the whole thing via MIDI?

one more question and my mapping is all done!
i have the middle encoders mapped to go through the different loop sizes (loop size selector) and that works great and all but when i map the push part of the encoder to (loop active on) it turns on the selected loop but it will only loop from the beginning of the song were my first cue point is located wich is my beatgrid cue point and it turns on the active and selected loop value on and green but it doesn't loop and only keeps playing the track out.

my question is how do i map the push encoder to loop at the current stage that the song is playing?
i dunno if I'm just overlooking something simple or what but I've been tryn to figure this out for a few days now

You went for 'loop active on' commands. Replace with 'loop set'.

I recently buy a sixtapad, it's a little drum machine (looks like the octapad from roland but less cool and less expensive )
what i want to do is to map the 6 pad to the remix decks in traktor, I plugged my drum pad in midi, recognized by traktor
but the problem is the only interaction mode i've got is "hold" and i can't hold those pad with a drum stick i would like it to "toggle" or something like tap (you tap and the sample plays )
does anyone got a solutions ? I have a few experience with midimapping and I clearly have no idea how to fix this

Have you tried searching for something that's similar to trigger finger or some others with something similar to drumpads. You should be able to map learn each pad and then set the parameters accordingly to what you want. Check out www.traktorbible.com/freaks/
Better to own the book and keep around. The site might have the mapping or you're going to have to mess with the mapping.

I have auto loops mapped to my pads.
I have Flux on/off toggle set to a button.

When i make or enter a loop in flux mode the track does not continue to play underneath. They just loop but if i scratch or do a hot cue then the flux mode works. Why don't loops work?

trying to map the BPM increase / BPM decrease buttons in the Grid tab to pads on my Kontrol F1...

the only command I see in controller manager is BPM Adjust... and it does not seem to do anything? I played with the value, setting it to 1.000 and all the way to 200.000 but nothing changes. I made sure sync was off as well.

I encountered this problem as well. I assume its because for flux mode to work there has to be some sort of hold function and with loops there is only a trigger when using auto loops.

Hey guys, sound like you have the "Loop Active On" in your mappings. Make sure to map "Set Loop" instead.

I've been itching to play around with EQ FX isolation after seeing the DJTT article and one of Stewe's great mappings. One thing I wanted to avoid, though, was the use of any modifier states to achieve EQ isolation. My setup is is X1 + Z1 + MF3D, and it's great to be able to use a single non-native mapping without worrying about modifiers/etc clashing.

After poking around a bit, I came up with two techniques. Both eat up the 3rd and 4th decks, so this still isn't a very good solution if you're mixing with 4 decks, remix decks, live input decks, etc.

Simple EQ Isolation

The first technique is a super simple method that uses four buttons per deck: Reset, High, Mid, Low. Each button sets all three EQ kills across both matched decks. I copy deck A->C and B->D on a bunch of inputs to maintain sync for each pair of decks. The risk with this mapping is losing sync with EQ still split between decks.

Advanced EQ Isolation

The second technique allows for individual EQ band selection (instead of a single toggle, you can put any combination of high/mid/low on Deck A, with Deck C always opposite). It also automatically maintains sync by watching beat phase and seek position; if anything drifts it re-copies the shadow deck.

To do this, I'm using the scripting capabilities in Lemur and having Lemur fire notes back to its Traktor mapping. I only picked Lemur up the other day, so I'm sure there's a more elegant solution than the one in the video, but I really love it so far.

Lemur is a paid piece of iOS software (currently $25 on holiday sale), and I'm actually using a wired connection with an iConnectMIDI2+ to stay away from wifi issues (it's an $80 device, but provides a TON of MIDI/audio routing capabilities).
