cheap an clean as hell
Excellent. Yes please do a tutorial if you can, your project seems 'simple' enough for people like myself who don't have a clue about this kind of electronic magic. If you cant', too bad, but thanks anyway for the thread.
nice you could hook more buttons up, right ?
bump for tutorial
Ok i wrote a small tutorial in the next days.

you magnificent bastard! I eagerly await it. thank you!
Here is the Tutorial:
First take a cheap Numpad.

Numpads has really small Controlboards.

First you had to find out which Button is soldered to which pin. I wrote the numbers to the foil.

My controller has the soldering for the Buttons (Numbers):
Number 1: C11 R2
Number 2: C12 R2
Number 3: C13 R2
Number 4: C11 R1
Number 5: C12 R1
Number 6: C13 R1
After soldering with a soldering bolt it looks like this:

Some Notebooks need the Num Lock Button to activate the Numpad. So just put an extra button to the controller.
Button Num Lock: C11 R4

Put this all in a case and it will be ready.
