CDJs with vinyl style rotating platters? :)
Technics had some, but they were hardly successful.
I never used final scratch but i have got traktor scratch with control vinyl and cds and am very very impressed with its natural feel. Using the control vinyl is amazing i think if thats what your into.
The denon dns3700 seems rather popular.
didn't numark have these to? and who made the one that was both, played cds if the needle wasn't dropped? or did i make that up?
anyone remember that stupid thing for scratch control on early cd players that used a wheel sat on the edge of a tt linked to the cdj? think it was for a denon unit?
or the line adapter for tone arms?
come a long way aint it?
Yeah, vinyl still has it's charm. But there's one major advantage of the digital route that is hardly getting mentioned: One man, no matter how strong, can only carry two or three full record bags :D
One of my mates, DJing for many years, now in his mid 30s, actually slipped two discs by carrying vinyl all the time.
Love those black discs, but I also love having a functional spine.
