Good on ya for having a bit of conscious. Email the guy and tell him you would love to play the song and if h's going to release it fro download. Chances are the stuff you can get now are just low quality youtube rips.
You'd be surprised what tracks you can get by just asking!Alot of times the artist is delighted with the bit of extra promotion you have to offer by playing it out!Ask nicely and dont go blogging it!
are you fucking stupid?
youre not supposed to be talking about ripping music here
Jesus, I thought it was fine, since he publicly released it for free on his blog. What's wrong with this? Why is that even illegal? I was just asking if it was even possible to get high quality audio.
He still owns the copyright. And he didn't release it. He released a to a youtube stream for you to listen to and watch, or he embedded the stream. Totally different thing.
If he had released it as a file to be downloaded and used by everyone who felt like it, you wouldn't have to ask anyone about things connected to ripping the audio.
The fact that some people (like you, for instance) just don't get that, tends to piss people off in a forum where creative people create some great stuff and sort of understand why it's not okay to just take what others have made. Most people here will not be big fans of how copyright issues are being handled these days. But they still respect the process of creating art and music. So should you. Ask the guy for a file. Or play something else.
EDIT:
Oh, and BTW, he'll probably have a pretty good reason not to release a downloadable file for this. It does not seem to be an official remix, so he didn't even have the rights to use and modify the original version anyway.
I'm not trying to take what the guy made or anything, I just...figured if he released it like that, that he wanted it to be used. It's not available on his shop to buy or anything. And he's released download links to a lot of other stuff that he's made...alright, point taken. Of course I respect the process of creating art and music, all the stuff I make I just give out. I get it.
