Oh, so that's the purpose of the soundcard in the S4 ... to cue up tracks or are there any other benefits?
yeah a soundcard is basically an upgrade from the sound interface already in your computer, which is usually fine for system beeps and crap but not so great for pushing music through a sound system. Computer builtin soundcards usually only have one input and one output too so there's no way to listen in your headphones something different than what is in the speakers. The S4 will have several input and output options just like a real mixer would so you can have different tracks routed to your headphones and your main output (speakers). And as to your other question, a lot of people just use cue points; that works fine if you really know your music but in general it's better to check on headphones what things sound like before you blast it through the speakers.
thanks djproben!
