I agree with him. Make the investment and get a nice midi controller. Check out that new one Pioneer came out with the DDJ-S1 - looks AWESOME. But really. The sooner you get some nice equipment, the sooner you'll be able to follow your dreams and make some money too! :)
Honestly man, if you're posting a question and don't want answers, and just want to jump on people who enjoy Serato?
I'm sorry.
A demo doesn't exist. You can use one deck, or try out someone's setup. That's it.
I've been using these forums for a long time as well, and it's not worth getting into a pissing contest about. If you're not willing to hear legit feedback without jumping on people who answer, don't bother asking the question in the first place. I'm bothered not by your question, but the attitude when responding to the answers given.
Grow up.
I got my answer thank you. There is no demo.
So now we can tell the beginners that. Thanks again.
You guys are the ones that started with the hate.
Bassline Brine was stating that Serato is too good and/or professional for a demo. That's the Serato Fan Boy crap that people can't stand.
End of thread. Thanks again.

Hate to comment on this and create the possibility of continuing an unneccesary pissing match between you two, but did he edit one of his posts? Cause I never read anything that even slightly suggests what you just stated. This forum is typically a friendly one, so I wouldnt try and read into comments and think that there is some type of negative meaning behind what people say, not saying you do or did, just not sure what happened here
Can you feel the asshole tone in there?Quote:
If you're not willing to make the investment, go elsewhere. It's a bar for the average customer for their products, and that, I can totally understand from a business perspective. It's also something that you know people using Serato products actually bought their shit, which to me, counts for a lot.
You get what you pay for, and it's not always a "try before you buy" situation.
If you can't it's probably because you're one too.

Oh yea no doubt, but in all fairness, they're some stronger comments made beforehand by yourself that make this seem quite tame. I'm not sure if that Serato fanboy STFU comment was directed at him or in general as isnt blatantly clear, but it sure seemed like it was and maybe thats where we were mistaken. It is what it is though.
Im sorry that stating that the professional audio world doesn't always have a "baby's first bedroom edition" is considered assholeish... Serato actually does have one of the best entry level software packages in Serato Intro, but no, you cant run a TPB crack of it with your mouse.
What's next? Complaining that JBL doesn't have cheap speakers? That Rane doesn't make cheap rack bits? That Pioneer doesn't make bargain bin CDJs? Won't someone please white knight on the internet about the bedroom consumer?!
