If you are really looking for a great 2 channel mixer... but you have to have filters? It's probably going to be the DJM-909.
I swear by Rane mixers otherwise however, and you can always get a secondary FX unit to control the stuff (and many of those you can bring with you to clubs and hook in as well).
I'm getting to the point now where at home, the 2 channel Rane is alright, but I could see the use of having a 4-channel mixer or having on-board FX and filters being very nice. It's something that if you think about it, it may be more worth your while to just get a 4 channel mixer for the long run, always can rent it out if needed as well.
Might just go with the 909.
