Which is exactly why they didn't let you in on their plans.

Releasing new products isn't "disrespectful" to those that already purchased products. Should they slow down innovation just to show you some respect? That would actually be unappealing to potential new customers, who are what keep NI in business.

I have an Audio 10. I have Maschine MK2. I have no use for Maschine Studio. I'm happy. But I'm glad this new Maschine is an available option. Why not have more choices?

Also, you have more options now since you own a Maschine and a separate audio interface. This can be an advantage, as you don't have to always have them linked together.

You misunderstand what I mean, I have no problem with them releasing new products. It is their lack of communication torwards their userbase that annoys me. This is how I feel, I don't claim it's a fact.

As long as the hardware is compatible with the software updates, it's not really a big deal. I like that Maschine is moving towards becoming a real DAW.

I hear you, man. I know it's annoying. But, unfortunately, it's apparently profitable. They want to sell as much old product as possible before revealing their next release. It's a pretty common business model, actually (not that it makes it ok).

Damnit! Is this real? I was gonna upgrade soon and as a production thing I was gonna get a MK2 but now I can't because you need to have the newest things and be hip.

Not sure if I care, hell the mk2 wasn't enough to get me to switch from my mk1. Depending on the features I'd probably only be a buyer if I sank some money into a decent desktop.

NI has stated on their own site that they plan on supporting the original Maschine for a very long time.
