I'm glad I remember enough of my algebra to work that one out as bullshit :D
Yeah, I didn't actually read it, lol, till just now.
a + a = 2a ???
lol, no, fuckwad....
just so if anyone who's currently learning algebra reads this and is confused
a = x
so
a - x = 0 (zero).
so
2(a-x) = a-x but that means that 2 x 0 = 0
not 2 = 1.
I feel strangely liberated
i grid it to 140 so i can sneak it into an electro-house set... just sayin..
i have all my tracks (including non-edm) between 101 and 200 bpm, so they mash up well with the 128, 135, 140 and 174bpm genres i play.
feel that 140 is the better pick due to the cross-genre stuff thats going on (breaks mainly). even though the drums are more likely 70.
it doesn't really matter what you beatgrid it as for genre jumping because you can easily change from 70 -> 140 and visa versa with the half-time/double-time button on the deck bpm panel.
bumpity bump
what are you talking about, why, lmfao
flogging a dead horse... jeez...! lol

im going to have to try beatgrid some dubstep tracks to 140, love the genre just not the best at mixing it.... yet ;)
Question, Could i just match the tempos as close as possible and just mix by ear?
Or do you think beat gridding is better to do first?
i was talking in regards to bouncing from genre to genre, no limit bpm range mixing.
if you're just mixing dubstep into dubstep into dubstep, then you're right - beatgrid everything at 140bpm if most the set is going to be 140bpm.
fiddling with this earlier, mainly 140 & 175, and while they'll share a transient, 175 is on 5/4 sig next to 140, while 105 (and 210 as a result) is on a nice 3/4.
however, found something funky that works for dnb down to dubstep without technically beatmatching... once I have perfected it, I'll think about dropping a thread on it. right now the reverse for dubstep to dnb isn't as straight forward...
it could be 280 for all you know
why is this thread still open...
its the justin bieber of threads .. you really want someone to pop 2 caps in the back of its head but you just cant bring yourself to do it.
you could.... haha
only reason i posted again is because the thing that got me thinking the other day was posted in here...
and now a cabbage

on a note....." Try having your snare on beat 2, kick on beat 1.
Then move the snare on beat 3.
The second one will be half time in relation to the first one.
If your first pattern is in 140 bpm, your second half time pattern will actually be in 70 bpm."
this is leading me to believe dubstep is accually technically 70bpm because its 140 bpm @ HALFTIME
This is a troll thread, right?
