Why short throw faders professor?
And the short VUs that are pretty useless on the S4.
Obv adjustments on spacing are due, and maybe a Cue Mix knob, but that's subjective.

Dump the gloss. It's a silly 'feature'.
Not putting crossfader on it will please some people but it wouldn't stop many of those people from buying it.
Not putting a crossfader on it WILL stop a LOT of people buying it. Me for one.
Crossfader added, and worked on some spacing.

EDIT: My 300th post was appeasing "Karlos Santos". Worth it.
Shorter Master Out VU with those knobs in the middle would make more sense, as the channel VUs are the important ones.
Better?

Load buttons and dedicated Shift would be nice :D
Is this USB powered?
Stewe's Edit and if it is pure MIDI I'd think so, but if we A include a USB hub or B a sound card, maybe not.

I will do EVERYTHING I can to make sure that the unit can be bus-powered. However, it WILL include a USB hub which can be DC powered, either by a 5V brick or a 7.4V lithium battery pack.
Just to clarify something (Stewe?), does Traktor currently support VU meter displays via MIDI?
EDIT: Scratch that, apparently it does. So... selectable pre/post-fader VUs via a little toggle button, anyone? :)
Check out the video I posted on Page 1! It sure is!
EDIT: Here's the video.

Yep, it's Add Out > Mixer > Meters
Well, this is my point of view of what would be a perfect 4 channel midi mixer.

I can't understand why someone still haven't come up with one like this. Independent Vu meters, 3 band EQ, Gain knobs, Rotary push encoders for browsing/loading decks, aluminum filter knobs and a really simple design.
Soooo my mockup?

P4ULSON's Edit.

why not make a cavity that can fit an [audio => 8/10, serato => sl3, sl4] instead of including a soundcard, then you could just run patch cables throughout the inside of the box from the unmodified soundcard to the back of the box so you can wire everything up normally, it would be a bit messy to set up but once it's in the box you could forget about it.
what your talking about is completely unrelated to my post bishop. An MM1 would never be able to fit an unmodified soundcard in it's original case. And transport controls are simply a couple of button's added to the design, but from what mdc was saying it would have pads or buttons to replicate the Z2 functionality.
The idea for this MIDI mixer was to have it the same height as modular controllers, so it wouldn't be able to fit a sound card either.
