Well I was talking about using a Z2, but no you can't use traktor's effects post fader on an external mixer since you'd be using the hardware faders and the FX would be applied before the signal even reached the mixer input.

Yes it does. But the mixer must have a send/return option. Like the Xone 92.

That would be a bussing nightmare... Youd have something like 6 sets of cables for a 2 channel rig.

Yes, that's true but I don't see the problem in that. Another option would be the Xone 4D where you'd only need a DAC but then you do have digital send/returns.

Anyone know if post fader FX will work with the crossfader? For example on the DJM 900 you can assign the FX to either crossfade A or B. So for example let's say I've got a sample on side B, if I assign a delay too it and start scratching the sample will trail off even when my crossfade is closed on side A.

I'm pretty sure that yes it will work with the crossfader as well as with the line faders, you can see it on dj craze's latest ustream ( http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/26053135 ).

No. Traktor audio enters your mixer pre-fader. Traktor can't magic audio past your mixer's fader when you have it down, unless of course your mixer has a send/return loop that can do this, and a sound card with enough inputs and outputs to make it happen.

Well that makes the DJM T1 a lot less valuable compared to the Z2, I was planning in keeping my T1 but with no I gotta have the Z2

Most S/R loops I'm familiar with are routed pre-fader, unless they have a separate master send point on the S/R bus. The only exception I can think of are Rane mixers and 92s, with the 92 having a separate aux/insert system.
