Try this: Attachment 24815

Import it from the device menu (not big import button) and you will add a keyboard mapping for the "K" button. Press it and it will kill the FX buttons based on your FX mode setup.

Basically you set a couple FX Unit addressed commands which directly deactivates the effect in the moment when the button is press.

Type of Controller = Button
Interaction Mode = Direct
Value = 0

Feel free to check out provided file and you will find all necessary command lines you're looking for. Then rebuild the same thing is some of your mappings.

So i'm wondering if theres any way that i can mapp my laptop keyboard with every each slot of the remix deck in Traktor scratch pro. So is there any one who can help me with this? Thanks in advance!

Hey people! I have managed to map 99% of my new Akai APC mini on my own! ( about 300 midi in/out commands) Im kind of proud about that because its my first attempt on a 100% custom mapping.

Obviously i can do the hard stuff(modifiers, turning remix decks pages, VU Mapping) but not the easy...


Im pretty sure its very easy to do but i just make one little mistake :glare:


What i want to happen:
If Remix deck c is in the same phase as the master -> LED light up
If Remix deck c is NOT in the same phase as the master -> LED unlit


I tried already:

Add out>Deck Common>Phase sync
Assignment = Deck C
Controller Range = 0/1
Midi Range = 0/1 and 0/127

I really don't get what im doing wrong...its such a simple true/untrue condition and i can't get it to work >.<

Hey Mate,

The "Phase Sync" is not the target command that you're looking for. The correct one is called the "Phase"

Add Out > Deck Common > Phase

Luckily I still have my APC mini so I could easily test this for you. Here is the magic numbers that worked for me!

Controller Range:
Min value of: -0.003400
Max value of: 0.001800

Usually this values should be set to 0 - 0 but Akai gear is not so mapping friendly to Traktor and that's why you're seeing this little off-set here.

Hi! I want to remap Flux button in Traktor Kontrol S2 mk2 to "reset tempo" like in S2 mk1. How can i do this? Cant find "reset tempo" in controller manager. Dont use Flux and dont want to press shift+flux...

Hey there! Sometimes I will set a mapping in tractor (right now I'm trying to customise BeauBryte's with the FX I use the most), I will export it to my mapping too (so I can reload it in case I mess up something), but upon reopening tractor the next day, some settings will have changed / reverted. I'm sure I'm just making some stupid mistake, but what could be causing this?

Is it only the FX settings you're having problems with? Make sure to export your mapping via big export button located at the bottom of the preferences window (not device menu)

By clicking on big export button, you will be asked to export different categories along with the mapping files. Ensure to tick "controller mappings" and "effect settings" then ise big import button to reload the TSI and restart Traktor.

If a same issue still applies then it might be issue with your Traktor. Out of the interest, what version you're at?

And I'm not sure this can be done, however, any way you can map traktor to send a midi signal beyond the 127 limit? I have a return signal to send back to a Denon MC6KMK2, but the signal is recieved at 132 -138, which is outside the selectable range.. any way this can be achieved? Btw, it's the EQ LED's, when set on ch 1/2 on TP2..
I have done this with relative ease on Novation Launchpad S, but the Denon MIDI in, is slightly different.. it sounds like it can't be done, but could ya clarify this is the case? Ta ta!

can anyone tell me if pioneer cdj 800 mk 2 are guna work if I buy traktor pro scratch ?

I have a demo version at the mo, but when I go to controller management / device there isn't an option for 800s..

Will I have to use device / generic midi?

Then if so why aren't the mappers working wen I click learn after assigning the action to either deck a or deck b

I downloaded the mapping from the website just like the Ean Golden youtube video but I can figure out how to make the jog wheel used for my FX. My controller manager doesn't reflect traktor controller in-port or out-port as the example video describes. can anyone assist.

Someone help me!!! Just got a zone 4d and I'm trying to use it one traktor pro2. I have my pioneer cdj 900nxs' hooked up and working, but can't get it to do any mapping like this. Am I doing something wrong?

From the description it looks like you can't trigger any samples right now but there should be some basic transport controls and effects.

Let me know how it works for you. Perhaps we can use this mapping and remap it for samples since you have everything on CDJs.

The maps look awesome, but they shut down my cdj's and make me run on the internal laptop sound card. Does this mean I have to upgrade to scratch pro to make it work right?

I made a video memo on how I was doing some modifiers for my current PL-1 mapping (in progress :D) and decided to put it up somewhere to share. It's basically a small finite state machine implemented through the modifiers; the modifiers can then be used to drive specific shift layers.

Something nerdy coming up:

the video uses Scratch and Tap as independent shift layer buttons, toggling between their own functions, but when I press them together, they enable a third totally different state. Some context, an example application, i.e. the one I'm going to be setting up soon, is Scratch turns on flux mode, Tap changes the hot cue buttons to Loop settings, and pressing both simultaneously turns off Flux Mode and enables Freeze Mode on the hotcue pads. Pressing either Scratch or Tap resumes operation as before.

By default the buttons are independent, rotating around modifier states 0, 1, 2, and 3. 0 and 1 are "rest" states, and 2 and 3 are "active" states. The way it's defined is through a handful of modifiers with Button->Direct. For example I'm setting it so when M1=0, pressing the button jumps it to 2, and when I release when M1=2 (using the Invert option), it'll jump to 1. Similarly, pressing it again jumps it to 3, releasing jumps to 0. The reason why I do this is so I can identify what state the button is coming from when it's held down; i.e. if the button is held, was it just from M1=0, or was it from M1=1? (if M1=2, it definitely came from M1=0, if M1=3, it came from M1=1).
It's still achieving the basic flip from 0 to 1, just with some added information in between; the video kind of shows this happening in real time.
The on/off rest states are easily indicated by red/blue on the buttons.

Using the aforementioned, I can drive the third shift state and have the buttons return perfectly where they came from. I rigged a few more modifiers so that if the other button is pressed when that current button is held, both buttons are jumped to a modified set of states 4, 5, 6, and 7. I needed to introduce modifier 3 to make it easier to map; M3 is triggered directly to 1 if M1 is in a held state (i.e. M1=2 or M1=3) or vice versa. I'll describe it using Scratch as the held button and Tap as the incoming button. If I hold Scratch when it came from the off state (i.e. M1 was 0, so M1 is currently = 2), and I press Tap when Tap came from its on state (i.e. M2 was 1, so M2 normally would jump to 3 right now), both buttons are now jumped 4 numbers ahead to their "augmented states", i.e. M1=6, and M2=7. This still lets me identify what state the buttons came from, M1=6 indicates that M1 was previously from 0, M2=7 indicates that M2 was previously from 1. The release gets tricky here; I needed to be able to differentiate between two sets of release routines, the default and augmented ones. I went back and changed the inverted assignments from before to only occur if M3=0 (i.e. default routines), and made new invert assignments to occur if M3=1 (augmented routine). The invert assignments simply trigger the modifier to drop down 2 into the augmented rest state.
It flips by kind of fast in the video, but basically what happens is that, for example, if I have M1=1 and M2=0, pressing both buttons together and releasing will end up with M1=5, M2=4. Pressing either one of them will jump it back to M1=1 and M2=0.
I went back and modified the on/off rest states to be only output if M3=0 to avoid clashing; if M3=1, rather, the output is a simple beat phase with the corresponding deck.

I wanted this to terminate on pressing either Scratch or Tap, so I rigged it so if any of the modifiers are 4 or 5 and a button is pressed, they will both drop down to the proper state (i.e. if dropping down from 4, goes to 0, if dropping down from 5, goes to 5).

I've searched, but maybe I haven't used the right keywords, anyway, no furhther with this:

On my twister I have one bank for loops. What I'd like is that when a deck is actively playing a loop, the top led ring assigned to that deck to show the loops position with a blended bar: when the track is on the Loop In the led ring is of, when the loop nears the loop out, the led ring nears full on.

Is there any way to map this that you know of? I did find a control that seems to do it for the loop recorder, but not for the deck loops.

Cool feature request for which I think it couldn't be done with some basic mapping.

I read this thread (which has helped me tremendously, thank you all) and I didn't see this question covered so forgive me if I missed it somewhere:

I am trying to map one advanced FX chain sequence to one knob on my APC40mkII. How do I trigger a button when the knob is turned beyond a specified percentage?

I have everything else about this all mapped out. I have the latest Traktor, so there's no more "effect amount" command available anymore. I copped the Twisted Gratification mapping and tried to reverse engineer it, but its a huge network of modifiers and Twister-specific functions.

You can see an example of this in Ean's Twisted Gratification promo video starting at the 3:23 mark.

In the immediate two examples, the first two effects are always on but the third effect button only triggers when the other knobs are at or beyond a certain degree.

How do you do this? Is it a trick with modifiers? Is there a mapping command I'm missing?

EDIT: I figured it out like 3 hours after posting that so I thought I'd share the answer.

To trigger another command like a button press with a certain range of a knob -
1. map a modifier to a knob. set it to relative
2. divide the range of the knob up by bringing the rotary sensitivity down to about 10-20 (this makes it so the knob moves the modifier count very gradually, and allows you to set its range between 1-8)
3. map the desired button to the knob. set it to direct
4. make a copy of desired button for every available modifier value on the knob (if your knob is set to 10% and goes to 3, then you should have 3 copies
5. Give each button the modifier, and escalate the value for each. (first copy is M1=0, next is M1=1, then M1=2, etc.)
6. Now each copy of the button triggers when the knob is turned to the range associated with that button's modifier value. For each range that you want the button on, set the buttons value to 1, for off, 0.

This works for any command that you can set to a button command. which makes the possibilities opened up by this command pretty limitless. Right now I'm working on building knobs that select and load whole effect chains!!

Guys I need help with the following:

This mapping is the best I have found so far, I did just some smaller adjustments. What I need help for is:

1. Disabling loop do not disable the LED. I wish to have it disabled, if the loop is inactive!
2. How is it possible to enable/disable vinyl mode?
3. How is it possible, to browse through the tree? The controller has a back button, works well in Virtual DJ, but no function with Traktor. I made already modifiers that when the back button is hold, the browse knob goes into the tree. But the problem is, all modifers in this mapping are already in use.

Would be great, if we can handle this!

This does not work, as this feature effects any loop button. I got 8 and if 'Is in active loop' is setted up, the light turn on on all loop buttons.

2. If my mapping already has all modifiers used, this wont work.

3. Same as 2. or please describe further.

1. I'm looking at your LED mappings and it seem there are quite a lot of modifiers assigned to same MIDI Notes. If there are conflicts between midi signals it would be easier to figure out if I have had a G4V to test your TSI.

2-3. Simple add one more of these. Or more each time you need more modifiers :)
